I am a Web-oriented journalist who believes print is not dead. Currently, I’m the online medical editor at The Plain Dealer, responsible for creating and nurturing a pair of health sections: Cleveland.com/medical and Cleveland.com/healthfit. I’ve trained in XHTML, CSS and Javascript. I believe in the philosophy of The Newspaper Next project. At The Plain Dealer I've also served as an assistant metro editor and award-winning technology reporter. Before that, I worked at The Philadelphia Inquirer and wrote for The Christian Science Monitor and The Washington Post. I spent two years reporting from Southeast Asia.
